Hasbro Games will release Monopoly Deal: Minecraft Edition in stores on January 15, 2027. The new version of the card game features Minecraft characters, items and artwork on its cards, and shifts the goal of the game to collecting biomes from the video game.To win, players must be the first to complete three different biome sets. As they build their own collections, they can use Action cards to send mobs after their opponents and disrupt their progress. That is the main interaction Hasbro describes for this edition: building your sets while stopping other players from finishing theirs first.Monopoly Deal: Minecraft Edition is for two to five players ages 8 and up, with games expected to last 15 minutes. It retains the quick-play card game format but puts familiar Minecraft elements at the center of the competition. Biomes determine how players win, while mobs give them a way to interfere with their opponents.Hasbro also announced a separate version of Monopoly Deal inspired by Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. The announcement did not give a release date for that version. The Minecraft edition, meanwhile, is set to reach stores on January 15, 2027.With information from ICv2.
